Soreness is NOT the enemy, my savvies…


You are!

You are your bodies worst enemy…

Because at the sign of pain or soreness you are ready to shut down – You’re ready to give up..

Your body is trying to tell you something.

And it is saying that your body parts are RUSTY!

They haven’t been worked in – WHO KNOWS WHEN?!

…..

So when you take the BIG STEP in working out your body or not even that…

Just moving your body – THAT IS A BIG DEAL!

Your body loves you for it.

Your body starts to do things that it used to be able to do 5-10 years ago.

And you feel absolutely amazing..

Especially when you start to see a difference.

Your body starts toning in ways you never imagined..

…..

And have you ever heard of the saying that, “Something is better than nothing?“..

Good for the ones who have but even better for the ones who haven’t.

Sometimes we don’t feel like doing anything but just doing something like a quick walk will do wonders for you.

…..

I have a routine Monday – Saturday.

If I don’t do nothing else – I have to at least get my pre-workout in and 10,000 steps by the end of the day.

Pretty doable for me…

My pre-workout consists of 100 body weight squats (different variations), 50 leg raises, 50 toe touch crunches, and a 1 minute plank or boat pose (Right now I’m currently doing 1 minute and 25 seconds).

I make sure to do this every day except on Sunday’s because I told the Lord that I would rest of this day.

No Instacarting, NO NOTHING!

And let me tell you something – This is really hard for me to do..

But what I won’t do for the Lord..

He is my everything!

…..

Y’all know how quickly my brain can get off topic.

Back to the subject!

…..

Your body might be weak right now but YOUR BRAIN IS STRONG!

And everyone that works out with me knows what I’m about to say right now..

You don’t let your body tell you what you are about to do! You are in control of your body and YOUR BODY doesn’t stop unless you do..

OKKKKK!

…..

So quit the whining and moping and give your body what it needs.

Soreness is apart of the process and if you don’t feel it then you are not doing it right…

JUST SAYING!

…..

But on another note…

God will always give you the strength that you need…

When I’m running I always call on the Lord and ask for strength.

And He definitely gives it!

…..

A scripture that I want to leave my savvies with is…

1 Corinthians 6:19

“Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God?”

Caring for our bodies in the physical state can be very beneficial for our health and prolong our longevity.
