Being a Bold Sister for Christ

Before…

I was calling myself your active sister in Christ.

The title had a nice ring to it – Didn’t it?

Decided to create a local active sisters’ group for women that wanted to be active in their faith, lifestyle, and just in general.

I created events that were centered towards keeping our temples healthy.

We went to the movies, the gym, out to the eat, and all the things right.

And I felt like I was starting to form a little community of sisterhood.

We got to know each other, and I was ready to start setting up some Bible studies for us.

I was making all these events for the girlies to attend every week, but I was constantly getting the same people to participate.

So, I worked with what I had for the time being.

Because I was like God will send me more people that want to be active in their faith.

Then I started to feel like my time was being wasted when I showed up to an event and no one came.

Then as you know it…

Life HAPPENED!

And it HAPPENED fast!

And it HAPPENED hard!

After all the life events that happened that are written in detail in my previous blog posts, I slowly started to engage less in my group.

You can say that I did start to give up on it.

Plus, I had no help and as I was going through struggles.

I didn’t even have the energy to motivate myself to send prayers and motivational quotes anymore.

So, I completely stopped engaging after having the group for 4 months which was in March of 2026.

Let’s just say that I still have the group, but it is definitely silent crickets in there…

I actually CRINGE at the site of trying to reopen it..

But I said that if God wants me to start that group over from scratch, then I will but until then it will stay silent crickets for now.

…..

Fast forward to the middle of April and I’m locked out of my Instagram account.

I really was upset that I couldn’t get in because my whole life was in there and it was where savvy was built.

Where the long hours of hard work and sweat were put in.

It was where she started becoming bold…

But I guess not bold enough, HUH?

I waited and waited for them to fix my account but they never did.

2 weeks passed and I was growing anxious and impatient by the hour.

So, YOU KNOW WHAT I DID?

Created new account…

I created it scared but in hopes of my old account being unlocked.

…..

But God knew what He was doing because that old account never was unlocked.

I created a whole new brand for myself with the new account.

Now..

I call myself your bold sister in Christ.

That has an even better ring to it but I didn’t know what all that name title would come with.

Being BOLD when people deliberately spoke against God on my post.

Praying for others as I was going through a struggling season.

Having to let go of others after knowing them for quite some time.

Being that BOLD sister that had to let people know that if what they were wanting me to be apart of isn’t Holy Spirit led, then I cannot participate.

Not knowing what that title uphold was such a mystery to me until God started telling me all things I would have to do with it.

…..

All in all…

Being a BOLD sister in Christ has its difficulties but I love serving the Lord.

And sometimes serving the Lord comes with having to do things we don’t want to do.

Being a BOLD sister in Christ has taught me so much about my own faith and about how I handle certain situations.

…..

I asked for this!

I asked God for patience and BEHOLD!

The Lord say, “Aha! I have something for you!”

He gave me scenarios in which I would have to practice my patience with other people.

I can say that it has helped me along the way but I’m still a work in progress.

…..

As a BOLD sister in Christ, I want to exemplify the fruit of the Spirit and I’m still remembering them all..

Don’t judge me!

And Galatians 5:22-23 is one of my favorite verses in the Bible.

But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!

And we as Christians should all strive to produce good fruit in our lives. Jesus set the example by being fruitful in all situations even when those situations weren’t the best or didn’t have the greatest outcome.

…..

Are you a BOLD sister in Christ and what does that type of life look like for you as a Christian?

  1. Well thank you for this, very insightful indeed.

Well for me, being a bold sister in Christ means I live openly for Christ without shrinking back when it’s uncomfortable, staying rooted in Scripture no matter the circumstances, praying consistently, serving the people God puts in front of me, and refusing to water down the gospel to make it more acceptable. It also means owning my failures, repenting quickly, and relying on the Holy Spirit rather than my own strength.

    • Amen sister 🙏🏽 Thank you for sharing what being a bold sister in Christ is for you! And this is what I’m talking about right here 👏🏽👏🏽 Bold sisters have to stick together ✊🏽

  2. Life has been hitting me hard a lot and I have found myself being mad at God for things, but… when all settles and I take the time to hear Him and I listen… I know it will be okay. I stand as a BOLD sister in Christ to keep on in the hard times knowing He Is On His Throne and in control. Great post!

    • Hey Karisa 👋🏽
When you said I know He is on His Throne it made me think of your song. 🎶 My King is on His Throne. My strength, my song. 🎶

I absolutely love your music because it is a way to keep me strong and bold in my faith as a sister in Christ. I love that us sisters in Christ have different gifts that God has given us to strengthen each other 🥹🙌🏽
