Bold.Savvy.Faith

Wow!

Where do I start y’all?!

I guess from the beginning, huh?

As most of you know, I created a new Instagram account called boldsavvy.faith and this was not what I wanted to do.

……

So about a month ago, I got locked out of my old account that was named savvy.selectionsbyk.

I reached out to everyone to help me resolve my issue. The Instagram app kept asking for an authentication code and I had never set that up for my account.

Talk about being FRUSTRATED!

The Meta team never reached out to me letting me know that the issue was resolved and I kept emailing them for updates.

I was not at all pleased y’all.

…..

My Facebook account was connected to my Instagram and Threads through the Meta Business suite app.

This is where I was able to still cross post all my content to all 3 platforms without even having to log in.

This worked for about 2 weeks until I got tired of not being able to respond back to comments and messages on Instagram.

Just too much to navigate on the Meta Business suite app, if you ask me!

…..

So, I got off my high horse and created a new account that would still have some of the feel of my old account but with God in the center.

I had to come up with a name that represented my business but also let everyone know who I represent – CHRIST!

I wanted it to be BOLD FOR CHRIST while also having a bit of a savvy vibe.

Once I came up with the name everything else seemed to come into place.

…..

After the account was created I thought I should just post all my stuff from the old page, but this page was the new me which made me think of a verse.

2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away; behold, all things have become new

In that moment, I realized that this page was not about me anymore.

This page was a ministry for the Kingdom of God.

I told God that I would submit this page to him and do his work.

So, I started over but I made sure to add a few posts from my old page that still would represent my new page.

…..

A couple of times I went back to my old page to reminisce because my whole life was on there.

My hair journey, my old logos and revamps to my brand, and so much more.

I was doing what the Lord told me not to do and that was look back which reminded me of another verse.

Lot was told to leave his city because it would be destroyed due to sin.

Genesis 19:17

Flee for your lives! Don’t look back and don’t stop anywhere in the plain! Flee to the mountains or you will be swept away

But Lot’s wife did not listen…

Genesis 19:26

But Lot’s wife looked back and became a pillar of salt.

This was a representation of what I was doing. I was looking back at what was and nothing looking forward to what could be.

I had so many questions with no answers.

I was torn that I couldn’t get my page back.

…..

But God reminded me that I prayed every day for BOLDNESS and that old account wasn’t cutting it.

I needed something new.

Something FRESH!

Something HOLY!

Not saying that my page was horrible but God wasn’t really in it…

After I started investing in my new page – I have never felt so alive in my life.

God is all over this and he is in the driver seat controlling the wheel while I’m in the passenger seat asking what is next?

…..

God knows what we need in order to get us on the right track.

Thank you, Jesus, that you understand us because we wouldn’t be nothing without you!

What is that you need to let God take control of or something that you need to let go of?

P.S. don’t forget to check out the Bold Move for this week on my socials!
