Like the lowest of low?…
Where you almost felt like giving up?
Giving up on LIFE.
Giving up on PEOPLE.
Giving up on your DREAMS.
I’ve been there so many times in life that I can’t even count.
But even though you felt like giving up – YOU DIDN’T!
You stood strong not knowing where that little bit of ounce of strength was coming from (Or maybe you did know but the circumstance was so high and alerting that you couldn’t focus or be grateful).
FOR THE ONES THAT DIDN’T:
You didn’t know about the sisters at your church going to war for you behind the scenes.
You couldn’t see that God was working on your behalf in the spiritual realm or even that he was making sure you had everything you needed in the midst of your circumstances.
You thought to yourself – What more can I go through?
You forgot about the days you prayed for strength and boldness because you didn’t need it at the time.
Not realizing that those prayers you prayed so long ago were to get you through the rough times – the suffering so to speak.
But once you’ve been set free from it then you realize it.
You realize that you were supposed to go through it so that you could learn from it to become a better YOU!
A better Christian.
Better at managing your finances.
Better at not letting your flesh get the best of you but allowing the Holy Spirit to guide you.
Better at learning how to adapt and how move in a way that is Godly.
FOR THE ONES THAT DID:
You knew about the sister on social media that was encouraging you and giving you strength because she was being led by the Holy Spirit.
You even knew that God would make a way out of know way, but you just didn’t know how.
You knew that there was going to be a change but uncertain of how good or bad that change would be.
…..
Isn’t it crazy (not really) how when you are in the midst of a situation that you still have joy and peace in it.
Then, when you are completely out of it your peace is restored to its max.
It is as if God granted you a whole new life to start over again.
Suffering doesn’t last always!
As Christians we will have to go through things, but God will be with us.
NOW…
God said that HE WILL BE WITH US, but that does not mean that he will do everything for us.
At some point, we have to start moving and actively working towards what God wants for our life.
It is kind of like a birdie that tends to her chicks.
She feeds them and feeds them until they’re ready to start surviving on their own.
Her last motherly duty is to teach her chicks how to fly and once they’ve learned how to do so – She leaves them.
NOW…
Of course, we know that God will never leave us but using this example God supplies us with what we need and then He expects us to use those tools He has given us to fly and thrive in this lifetime.
We can’t just be sitting ducks just hanging around saying, “Oh, how is the weather?” and expect for something to just happen.
Because God is a gracious God, but He knows your heart and he knows when he is being used.
Because He knows what we are going to do before we do it.
As Christians, we have to put in the work!
This is all a part of being bold and striving for a better Christian life with the Holy Spirit continuing to guide our paths and our ways.
Let me back this up with what God’s word says!
SCRIPTURE TO TAKE WITH YOU:
2 Corinthians 4:17
For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.
Even in trials and tribulations, continue to be a light in this world and walk Christ-like because the blessings that are coming will not be from this world. They will be from God and God alone and you will know because the reward would be so big that no mankind could ever do it.
James 1:2-3
Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.
As I stated earlier, troubles won’t last always because God will bring us out of our current situation just like he did for the Israelites when He brought them out of Egypt.
Suffering will test our faith, but we will come out on the other side better than when we went in. When suffering comes our way again, we will be better prepared because we know where our help comes from.
AMEN!
