The Scale


Ladies!

We have a bad habit of checking our weight every 5 seconds.

STOP DOING THAT!

As women we fluctuate in weight so checking it every day is detrimental to our mental.

YOU GOT ME?

Cool!

It causes low self-esteem and results in us giving up on the ONE THING we said we would put in the work for.

For example…

One day you check the scale it says your girl lost 2 pounds.

You’re happy, right?

Of course! You are!

I would be too..

But, check this out!

The next day you check the scale again and see that you gained 2 pounds.

Now..

All of a sudden you feel like all that hard work you put in was for NOTHING.

Girl! I totally understand.

As someone that used to always check the scale, I learned my lesson.

This time around I never checked the scale.

I focused on my performance, physique, strength, and discipline.

Because for me it wasn’t about my weight.

…..

As I started looking different people started to notice.

They would ask me how much weight I’ve lost.

I would respond with, “I don’t have a clue.”

It felt so good to be stress free from the scale and no pressure of a goal weight.

…..

Focusing on your weight becomes your idol and it makes you feel like crap when you don’t see progress.

…..

If you have to..

Take a class or go for a walk but DON’T GIVE UP ON YOURSELF…

Take your fitness journey one day at a time.

It is absolutely ok to push yourself some days and keep it simple other days.

#1 Savvy Rule

Never compare your progress to someone else’s.

Figure out what works for you and stick with it.

BUT NEVER EVER GIVE UP ON YOU!

BRAGGING SESSION

Because I did not pay attention to how much weight I lost, I came down from a size 14 to a size 10.

What an accomplishment!

So from me to you..

Be consistent and set goals…

But don’t let those goals overtake you.

…..

The words savvy and bold were not used throughout this entire post because you know it takes boldness to do something outside the norm. Savviness is having the knowledge of how to do it.

After that SAVVY pep talk. Are you going to continue to look at the scale or perform without the pressure of weighing yourself?
