BOLD FAITH looks like waking up in the morning and reading your Word before laying a finger on your phone.
BOLD FAITH looks like not being able to see the whole picture when God tells you to move.
BOLD FAITH looks like being an uncomfortable Christian because there is a calling that God has placed on your life.
BOLD FAITH looks like having to tell a brother or sister in Christ that what they are doing isn’t of God knowing that it could possibly jeopardize your friendship with them.
BOLD FAITH looks like defending the faith boldly — THAT’S A GIVEN!
BOLD FAITH looks like listening to the Holy Spirit when our flesh wants to do the absolute opposite.
BOLD FAITH looks like removing yourself from others that may not be feeding you spiritually.
BOLD FAITH looks like following Jesus.
……
Are you picking up what I’m putting down?
Not everybody knows what it looks like but most of us do.
Some of us even know what we are supposed to be doing.
But, do we?
NO!
Are we feeling conviction from it?
YES!
Is that conviction strong enough to stop you from completing God’s assignment?
I DON’T KNOW!
You tell me..
God gives us free will so you choose…
…..
The Holy Spirit has prompted us to live out your faith BOLDLY.
But we keep trying to wait on the right time.
It is never the right time when it is in our own timing.
The right time is when God says to do it!
…..
BOLDNESS looks different for every individual.
For instance, let’s just use me.
I boldly live out my faith by wearing bold colors, praying bold prayers, writing bold blog posts, making bold moves, and also encouraging women to live out their boldness in Christ through the ministry God has entrusted me with.
…..
NOW!
Just because I do that doesn’t mean you have to do it the exact say way I’ve been called to.
God gives us all different callings.
And honestly if God has not called you to do something then I would strongly advise against it.
…..
The way God wants you to show up BOLDLY might simply be planting a seed as you are talking to someone one on one.
Which I must say is pretty bold in my book, if you ask me, because you have to know your stuff (THE WORD).
…..
Stop telling yourself that you are not bold!
BECAUSE YOU ARE!
You have the POWER of the HOLY SPIRIT there to back you up!
…..
I can’t say it enough but we as Christians will go through trials and tribulations on this earth.
We will be mocked and treated unfairly as we proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ.
…..
The boldest person in the Bible to me is John the Baptist because he didn’t play!
Matthew 14:3-4 (NLT)
3 For Herod had arrested and imprisoned John as a favor to his wife Herodias (the former wife of Herod’s brother Philip.)
4 John had been telling Herod, “It is against God’s law for you to marry her.”
John the Baptist stood on morals and law and King Herod was unlawfully marrying his own brother’s wife.
Next scripture correlates with the first scripture.
Luke 3:19 (NLT)
19 John also publicly criticized Herod Antipas, the ruler of Galilee, for marrying Herodias, his brother’s wife, and for many other wrongs he had done.
John the Baptist did not back down because King Herod was powerful and ruled. He stood for what was right and he knew that King Herod was not abiding by the law. He also knew that King Herod was committing evil acts.
Matthew 3:1-3 (NLT)
1 In those days John the Baptist came to the Judean wilderness and began preaching. His message was,
2 “Repent of your sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.”
3 The prophet Isaiah was speaking about John when he said, “He is a voice shouting in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way for the Lord’s coming!’ Clear the road for him”
John the Baptist was not at all a people pleaser and he was very BOLD about calling people to repentance. He made sure that he did all he could to prepare the way for Jesus Christ coming.
…..
The fact that John the Baptist was not fearful of his life being harmed is quite telling.
He moved with great joy, confidence, and boldness knowing that he would one day go to Heaven.
He didn’t care about his physical body or how much he was tormented — All he cared about was bringing people closer to Jesus.
…..
This is how we are supposed to live out our life.
You know, someone once told me that I should hide my faith in my workplace because the people that worked there weren’t Christian and they wouldn’t understand me.
That was really bad advice and it definitely did not come from God.
Christians should be proud to announce their faith in every room.
So are you truly a Christian if you are hiding who God called you to be in certain areas of your life?
…..
BOLD FAITH can be intimidating and terrifying but what is more terrifying?
Being bold for the Kingdom of God or God disowning you and saying, “Depart from me for I never knew you.”
…..
So, what is it going to be? Bold faith or departure?
Live BOLDLY. Stay SAVVY. Have FAITH.
